Eliahna Amyah Garcia knew she wanted to be a cheerleader, her dad, Steven Garcia said.
She loved basketball and making TikToks, he added.
“Eliahna was such a sweet girl with a lovely and beautiful soul,” a GoFundMe page in her honor says. “She would light up everyone’s world with big smiles & big hugs.”
Nine-year-old Eliahna was among 21 persons whose lives were cut short in a mass shooting at the Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas on May 24, 2022. She would have turned 10 the week after her shooting.
“Ellie”, as she was known to friends and family, was a planner, her dad said.
The nine year-old had her eye on a quinceañera dress and the party for her 15th-year-old birthday, choreographing even her own dance for the celebration.
Her dad said the family would buy and hang the dress in her room and he posted on Facebook a video of her choreographing the dance.
For the 10th birthday itself, her family had been planning a pool party.
“Told her we’re going to have a party and her face just lit up,” her dad said. “That was the last time I saw her.”
